My Name is Esi and I am a storyteller.
After pursuinga degree in marketing & communication strategy with a major in brand strategy received in Lyon, and a few professional endeavours, I have chosen to tell my own stories. More precisely the daily stories of the African continent.
As a Pan-African Ghanaian woman raised in Senegal, I have seen the best of both worlds. Since 2018, I have decided to show my unconditional love for the continent and reveal the stories of a growing Africa.
By creating Sanaa Faces, I seek to document the unseen creative & cultural economy of the African continent. I strongly believe in sharing the beauty of social activities and I look beyond discovering to rather perceive the true identity of cultures and creative minds.
Sanaa Faces is a web documentary series that highlights the cultural actors, artists and creative minds of Africa. I have taken the gamble to show a different perspective from most documentaries on our countries. I am giving a voice to the unheard who yet are popular in our societies.
From our favorite local snacks or meals to cultural entrepreneurs, I document how attached we are to our culture and how strongly we believe in it.Sanaa Faces, presenting Africa’s creative scene, aired in January 2018. It now has 2 seasons, 14 episodes and over 6300 followers on Facebook, Instagram & YouTube. Sanaa Faces mission is to go beyond the documentary series. With my storytelling skills, I want to communicate through the eyes of the creative minds who, through their projects, believe in a bustling Africa. Within a year, the goal of Sanaa Faces is to help build a public interest in cultural entrepreneurship and in arts for the next generations.
Working on it !
